tyDiffusion is an advanced implementation of Stable Diffusion (using ComfyUI) in 3ds Max. It can be used to generate AI images and animations using a variety of ControlNets, LoRAs, prompt styles and other techniques, right in the viewport. Because tyDiffusion can directly relay viewport information (color, depth, etc) to its AI engine, users can more carefully art direct generated outputs in lockstep with their 3D scene. In that sense, tyDiffusion can be used as a full scene renderer, not just a random image generator.
Due to issues with 3ds Max’s viewport API (in 3ds Max 2022 and below), tyDiffusion is only available in 3ds Max 2023+.
