The Inferno Spawn operator allows you to spawn particles from an Inferno simulation.
Solver: particles are spawned from the live solver each frame.
Recall cache: particles are spawned from cached data stored by an Inferno Recall operator.
Reference flow recall cache: particles are spawned from the recall cache of a separate tyFlow object.
Rate: the number of particles to spawn per implicit sparse cube, per frame, for an implicit sparse cube whose per-voxel fluid density is 1.0.
Per cube of size: the world-space size of the implicit sparse cube used to normalize the spawn rate. Adjusting this value scales the effective spawn density relative to the simulation’s voxel size.
Spawn rate is determined using an implicit sparse cube of a defined size, rather than any actual sparse cube of the simulation, in order to keep spawn rate voxel-size independent. That way if you change the resolution of your simulation, the number of spawned particles won’t be affected. The actual spawn rate is determined by comparing the size of simulation sparse cubes to the implicit one. For example, a sparse cube that is identical in size to the implicit cube will emit a number of particles identical to the total number defined by the rate spinner (assuming no relative rate multipliers are enabled). A sparse cube that is half the size, will emit half the number of particles, etc.
Relative to density: when enabled, the spawn rate will be scaled based on the local density value at each voxel.
Min/Max: the density range over which the rate multiplier is mapped.
Relative to temperature: when enabled, the spawn rate will be scaled based on the local temperature value at each voxel.
Min/Max: the temperature range over which the rate multiplier is mapped.
Relative to velocity: when enabled, the spawn rate will be scaled based on the local velocity magnitude at each voxel.
Min/Max: the velocity range over which the rate multiplier is mapped.
